We are currently recruiting for a Smart Systems Technician. In this position you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance and repair of all controls and instrumentation for HVAC systems and building management systems.

Key Deliverables:

• Program, repair and calibrate all process instrumentation and controls.
• Commissioning of controls, instrumentation and building management systems.
• Attend to Callouts and breakdowns.
• Fault finding on Sensors, controls and HVAC equipment.
• Develop and complete tasks in accordance with the company’s SHEQ and ISO system.
• Provide feedback and updates to clients.
• Document and report all visits to customer sites.
• Work efficiently and accurately in line with customer expectations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time, this within area of technical competence.

Qualifications and Experience:

• National Diploma – Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
• Two years’ experience in the field of Controls, PLC and instrumentation
• Able to read and interpret piping and instrument diagrams (PID)
• PLC programming and digital control systems experience
• HVAC and building managements systems experience
• Valid Code 08 Driver’s License
• Knowledge of electrical control circuits and maintenance management systems
• Clear criminal record and continual maintenance thereof
• Clear medical certificate of fitness and continual maintenance thereof
